Pit Bull owners in Waterbury are being offered a rare opportunity to spay/neuter their dogs at the low cost of $30.

It's The Pits Community Awareness and Resources, known for their tireless Bully Breed advocacy throughout Connecticut, has been awarded a grant through Best Friends Lifesaving Grants, in partnership with PetSmart Charities®. 100 Pit Bulls (not mixes) will be eligible for the program. Surgeries will be performed by HOPE Spay/Neuter Clinic.

To qualify for the low cost spay/neuter, participants must be able to show proof of Waterbury residency and submit a picture of their dog. There are no income restrictions.

For more information about the program which will begin September 1, 2013 or to enroll, please email Stephanie Rice at stephanie@itsthepits.org or call (619) 985-4026.
